I started off with a desire to tweek and customise everyday objects to personalise them to my surroundings and needs and thanks to some very supportive friends, discovered the amazing world of 3-d printing. After awhile of learning, researching , hyper focusing and some gentle reassurances by said friends I began to realise that not everyone could do the things I was beginning to be able to do. I began to appreciate the awe and excitement creative friends had when i could take something previously only in existence on paper and make a 3-D version of it they could hold, have and show to others. When I first thought of charging for my work I was very lucky that a local game cafe “Ancient Robot Games” took a chance on me and let me stock some dice towers. Word of mouth then led to a few other people who heard about me asking if they could commission me to help them with projects from special gifts to scientific outreach programs. I finally decided that I should probably have a better way than just word of mouth to reach people and so have set up Blue Wolf Smithy as it is today with the website and Instagram spreading what I do and how I do it.
